AfriSam South Africa invites applications for Learnerships opportunities based with their aggregate and Readymix Operations division in KwaZulu Natal.AfriSam is one of the largest suppliers of construction-related materials, specialising in the production of Cement, Aggregate and Readymix Concrete. Operating in six Southern African countries, the company offers a wide scope of career opportunities and exposure to best practices. At AfriSam South Africa we recognise that talented and enthusiastic people are the basis of our ongoing success.Under the guidance of the Maintenance Team Leaders, the successful applicants will be placed on a training programme to qualify in an artisan trade. We have opportunities for external learnerships in the following trades:

• 1 X Electrician
• 1 X Boilermaker
• 1 X Fitter

A learnership agreement, on a fixed term basis, will be entered into between the Company and the selected candidates. The agreement will also be registered with the MQA.

The development plan for Learnerships entails the following:

• Off-the-job training at an identified Technical Training Centre
• On-the-job training to ensure that learners are exposed to mechanical and electrical equipment and maintenance practices.

• Applicants who are technically inclined and are in possession of at least a N2 with relevant subjects for the positions advertised above are invited to apply.
• Applicants must also be in the possession of a valid driver€™s license.
