About CETA Corporate

CETA Bursary

CETA (Construction Education and Training Authority), established in April 2000,  main objective is to develop the course of training and raising skills in construction and that all training fulfill the sector’s requirements. Sub-sectors CETA involved in are building construction, materials manufacturing, roads and civil construction and built environment professions. CETA believes that infrastructural development are very important to economic empowerment of South Africa.

The Field of Study Available

CETA bursary available for the students who are studying or intend to study in fields related to the corporate’s need, which is construction sectors. The expected studies are  Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering.

Criterion For Bursary

The bursary covers tuition fees, course material and prescribed books (will be limited to R3500 per year). Acommodations are to be considered. The bursary will be reviewed by bursar’s academic progress. Beside that, there are requirements that every candidates have to meet for applying the bursary:

  • South African citizen
  • Candidates pass Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science at 60% or higher
  • Applications submitted for next calendar year
  • Choosing relevant field of study in construction sectore
  • Financial data
  • Recommendation from group is preferred
  • Pass in standard aptitude test
  • Medical statement
  • University acceptanc letter

The bursary will be considered by CETA administrators, committe, council, and stakeholders. Not only to assess the bursar’s academic performance but also for consultancy and assistance when needed. The sucessful students are required to sign working agreement with one of construction company in South Africa depend on their bursary years.

Applying CETA Bursary

The closing date of CETA bursary is on 31 August every year. The application form is available at CETA office and all candidates are expected to fill all the required, proide copy of  all examinations results and relevant academic certificates reports, testimonials, be available for interviews and assessment and to sign Bursary Agreement.
