Investec Wealth & Investment is looking for a Legal Graduate Assistant to join its Wealth & Investment department in Sandton, Johannesburg.
Investec is an international specialist banking and asset management group. It provides a range of financial products and services to a client base in three principal markets: the United Kingdom, South Africa and Australia.
Duties & Responsibilities
The prospective candidate is responsible for a number of administrative functions:
- -to format and assist with all legal agreements, documents and letters
- -to file and keep a comprehensive list of all legal agreements
- -to keep all legal documentation updated
The potential candidate will assist with a number of legal matters and will have the opportunity to assist in developing legal skills within the Wealth & Investment business
- Responsible for assisting the Head of Legal and the business with the administration and legal operations.
- The role requires dedication and willingness
- To gain and deepen knowledge of all related legal issues and applicable business processes;; and
- To understand legal risk management
Requirements
- Graduate looking for work experience, with – or without- prior experience in legal/ financial services.
- Legal, risk or financial degree an advantage.
- Newly admitted attorney an advantage.
