Joburg City Theatre Internship Programme 2017

Joburg City Theatres (JCT) is contributing towards skills development by providing an opportunity for post matric degree/diploma. The Company is providing the right candidate an opportunities to gain work experience in the Company Secretary Office environment.Joburg City Theatres is therefore inviting interested parties to apply for this 12 month programme.

Requirements

  • Grade 12/NQF Level 4 is required
  • Computer literacy
  • Relevant 3 Year National Diploma or Bachelors and Honours degree.
  • Candidates with Bachelor of Arts Law/ Bachelor of Arts Social Sciences added advantage.
  • All applicants must be: between the ages of 18 -35 years and be a South Africa citizen.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Scheduling, preparing packs and taking minutes in meetings such as EXCO, MANCO, REMSEC, Artistic Committee, Audit and Risk Committee and Board meetings.
  • To report and compile evidence for compliance and submission to City of Joburg.

  • Typing and printing
  • Office Administration
  • To ensure the smooth running of the section and to support other functions in achieving their stated mission and objectives by providing a comprehensive support service.

Physical /Mental requirements:

  • Ability to relate and work with people.
  • Ability to work in teams and individually.
  • An understanding of approaches, processes and techniques associated with participatory and collaborative forms of planning.
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Decision Making Skills.
  • Ability to work extended hours.

  • The incumbent will be required to transport themselves and will be paid a stipend as per the JCT Budget.
