Students with high academic results, with Mathematics and Physical Science distinctions (where applicable to the study programme) from the following Centres of Excellence are encouraged to apply:

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must meet the following minimal criteria before applying:

  • Currently in Matric,
  • Will be in their first year of study in the upcoming year,
  • Minimum average of 75% for Mathematics,
  • Minimum average of 70% for Physical Science,
  • Minimum average of 70% for English FAL OR 60% for English HL,
  • Minimum overall average of 70%,
  • Proven financial need and unable to secure a loan (except for NSFAS),
  • Participated in the aforementioned centres of excellence.

*Please note that preference will be given to students from rural and township areas.
