1. SMAC Gallery Stellenbosch: Gallery / Administration Assistant
SMAC Gallery is looking for someone to join its team in Stellenbosch as a gallery assistant with focus on administration.
This position requires a strong administrative capacity and friendly demeanour. A driver’s license is essential.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with the smooth running and day to day management of the gallery
- Receiving visitors and fielding routine enquiries
- General operational and administrative support
- Assisting in exhibition production
- Maintaining gallery databases and archives
- Attending to the Director’s diary and travel arrangements
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm & Saturday 10:00am to 3:00pm
Salary: Dependant on experience

2. SMAC Gallery Cape Town: Reception / Gallery Assistant
SMAC Gallery is looking for someone to join its team in Cape Town as a gallery assistant.
This position includes a significant amount of hands-on work. Willingness and capacity for this as well as strong administrative capacity and friendly demeanour are important. A driver’s license essential.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Receiving visitors and fielding routine enquiries
- Assisting with the smooth running and day to day management of the gallery
- General operational and administrative support
- Maintaining gallery databases and archives
- Administrative assistance for exhibition production
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm & some Saturdays 10:00am to 3:00pm
