2018 – 2019 WBHO Bursary In South Africa

WBHO was created back in 1970 when Wilson-Holmes (Pty) Ltd was formed by John Wilson and Brian Holmes and is one of the largest construction companies in South Africa and is listed on the Johannesburg Securities Exchange. The company has offices in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and Port Elizabeth. WBHO’s main operations include roads and earthworks, building, civil engineering and construction, industrial as well as Probuild constructions in Australia.

The company has associations and subsidiaries which include Probuild ConstructionsEdwin Construction (Pty) Ltd, Insitu Pipelines, Roadspan (Pty) Ltd, Kalcon (Pty) Ltd, Reinforcing & Mesh Solutions and VSL Construction Solutions (Pty) Ltd.

WBHO has also received several achievements such as PMR and PMR Africa Awards, Africa Investor Award for Construction company co-developer of the year and Construction Company of the Year, Financial Awards, Fulton Awards, CESA Awards, award winner in Bridge category for 7th Avenue Bridge over the N1, Steel Award 2011, Construction World’s Best Projects winner and MBA Excellence Awards 2011.

 

WBHO Bursaries

WBHO Construction (Pty) Ltd offer bursary programmes to students who wants to continue studies in line with construction and building science. Bursary holders are expected to pass all subjects each semester and any failed subjects are students’ own financial responsibility, perform vacation work during holidays, one week required students training in June/July and required work for the company equivalent to bursary duration which will start after graduation.

 

WBHO Bursary Requirements and Eligibility

  • South African citizen
  • 60% average minimum
  • Full-time student
  • Studying in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Building Science degrees
