Minimum Requirements
Qualification(s):

• BEng/National Diploma in Engineering or equivalent with a relevant Management qualification
• Management Development Diploma
 
Experience:

• At least 5 years’ experience in a Middle Management  role in the specific or closely related industry
• God operational experience and background

Skills and Competencies

Skills:

• Ability to communicate effectively with facts and figures along with the ability to influence, persuade and negotiate.
• Strong communication skills and be able to explain policies, procedures and new information to employees in a method in which they can understand.
• Stay abreast of current events in the technology industry and convey this information to sub-ordinates.
• Must also have effective writing skills, leadership, organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bearings and On Site Machining services manager also require negotiation skills and an understating of basic accounting.
• He/she must also have strong interpersonal skills, Work collaboratively with diverse multiple stakeholders including other production department, Engineering, Procurement, Stores, Accounting, Project Managers ,Site Steam Maintenance team, Support Services etc.


Knowledge:

• Knowledge of carrying out and doing performance and development reviews, sound technical knowledge of bearing equipment and machinery
• Familiar with basic safety rules application in a workshop environment
• Familiar with quality  management  principles and standards
• Ability to read and interpret  accounting and financial reports
• Ability to prioritize ,plan and organise work
• Ability to work as part of team
• Ability to work well under pressure and within a pressurised environment

• Ensure that all legal appointment are valid and in place for your area of control
• SHE Compliance: As a section 8 & 9 appointee ,you are to ensure that the duties of the employer contemplated in the Occupational  Health Act 85 of 1993 are properly discharged and all legal appointments are valid and in place for your area of control
• Reduce Rework: Measure and report vs. Revenue for your department on a monthly basis and ensure you reduce rework to less than 0.5% of your turnover.
• ISO and OHSA Certification: Ensure that all activities are carried out as per the documented processes and comply with the requirements of ISO and OHSA certificate
Audit Rating: Maintain and audit score of less than 2 and receive no major audit findings
