2020 University of the Free State Online Application Form

University of the Free State Application 2020 :To apply to the University of Cape Town , you need the documents below :

1) A certified copy of the green bar coded ID

2) Proof of payment of any relevant application fees

3) Certified copy of grade 11 results and any latest grade 12 results

FYI: South Africans learners wishing to apply online will need a working email address and an ID number. Foreign learners wishing to apply will need to have their passport number.

2.         Apply online for admission to UFS

All prospective students should apply online for admission to study at the UFS in 2019. It is an easy step-by-step process, submitting your information and required documents in one place. You will be requested to upload the required documents as listed above during your online application. You will receive an automated electronic confirmation that your application has been received by the UFS, upon successful submission.

3.     Current UFS students

If you are currently a registered student at the University of the Free State, please download and complete the DV3 form to apply for a new qualification. The qualification code for the Master of Environmental Management is 4796.

4.     Apply for selection at the Centre for Environmental Management

Students are selected on a competitive basis, as explained here.

For your application to be considered, you need to download and complete the Selection form for the Master of Environmental Management 2018 for 2019 and email the completed form, as well as the required documentation as indicated in this form, to the Centre for Environmental Management. If you don’t get an email response from us within 48 hours, we have not received your documentation.

5.     Selection

Successful applicants will be notified via email on 17 November 2018. Unless you have received a written acceptance letter via email from the Centre for Environmental Management, by 30 November 2018, your application was unsuccessful.

Due to the high number of applications, the Centre for Environmental Management is unable to provide feedback to individual applicants.

Please note: All foreign students are responsible for their own visa arrangements. After foreign applicants have been accepted, they will have to initiate their own visa applications as soon as possible by applying for police clearance from their home country. Once selected, students can obtain a Letter of Acceptance from the Office for International Affairs at the University of the Free State. Students have to report for first-semester registration in January and at the beginning of July for the second semester. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS MAY NOT REGISTER PROVISIONALLY.

  •  Students must be in possession of a valid study visa issued for the UFS. A study visa issued for a different university is not acceptable. No international student will be allowed to register without a valid study visa issued for the UFS.
  • To cancel the block on your student account, please bring the following documents with you on the day that you will be registering:
    • Passport
    • Study visa
    • Proof of payment of registration deposit (for more information on finances, please consult www.ufs.ac.za, then click on fees calendar for more detailed information
    • Original documentation as submitted with your application
    • SAQA/USAf verification document (SAQA – POSTGRADUATE, USAf – UNDERGRADUATE)

Admission Requirement

Your eligibility for admission will only be assessed once your certified academic transcripts (which must have been translated into English), a completed UFS application form, and a certified copy of your passport have been received. Applications can now be completed online. Visit our website www.ufs.ac.za, click on the Student tab, and then click on UFS Application forms, or contact applications@ufs.ac.za

SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING: 

  • The completed and signed application form.
  • Certified copies of relevant academic results/transcripts/information in English.
  • Two passport photographs of yourself.
  • Proof of deposit of the non-refundable application fee (refer to the application form for the amount).
  • Certified copy of passport.
  • SAQA/USAf verification document.

Bear in mind that surface or airmail from your country may take longer than two to three weeks to reach South Africa. It is your responsibility to ensure that your application reaches the university before the closing date. Your application will be delayed further if you do not complete the application form as requested or if you do not send proof of payment of the non-refundable application fee, and if photographs or academic results are not attached.
