Accenture began their operations in 1971 in South Africa and currently have almost 2000 employees in South Africa alone. They are a management consulting, outsourcing and technology services company with offices in over 200 cities around the world.



Accenture South Africa (Pty) Ltd has its own dedicated education trust, built to help students from strong academic backgrounds, studying in various fields, who lack the financial ability to further their studies.

Successful candidates are provided with full scholarship programmes, in order for them to further their studies, at various tertiary institutions. Only 2nd to 4th year students need apply (including Honours students). Regrettably, 1st year students may not apply.

The bursary programme will cover the following expenses: registration fees, tuition fees, examination fees, meals, residence, book allowance for prescribed books and a laptop.

Please note that this scholarship only applies to students in their second year in one of the following fields of study:

  • (Eng) in Industrial (BEng/ BSc)
  • Information Technology (BCom/ BSc & Honours/ BIT)
  • Informatics or Information Systems (BCom/ BSc & Honours)
  • Computer Science (BSc & Honours)
  • (Eng) in Computer (BEng/ BSc)
  • (Eng) in Electronic (BEng/ BSc)
  • (Eng) in Electrical (Light Current) (BEng/ BSc)
  • (Eng) in Industrial (BEng/ BSc)
  • (Eng) in Information (BEng/ BSc)

Applicants must also be enrolled in one of the below tertiary institutions:

  • University of the Western Cape
  • University of Cape Town
  • University of Pretoria
  • University of Johannesburg
  • Rhodes University
  • University of KwaZulu-Natal
  • University of the Witwatersrand


In order to apply, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • South African citizens,
  • financial need,
  • strong leadership qualities,
  • high academic performance
