Qualifications:

  • Applicant must be currently unemployed, but have been previously employed contributing to Unemployment Insurance Fund, or
  • Applicant must be currently unemployed, and have never been employed
  • Complete Grade 11 qualification with English, Mathematics (not Mathematics Literacy), Physical or Engineering Science, applicable trade theory subject such as Electro Techniques/Electricians Work/Technica Electrical/Electrical Technology and an additional trade related technical subject such as Technical Drawings/Industrial Electronics all passed, or
  • Complete N2 qualification with Mathematics (not Mathematics Literacy), Engineering Science, trade theory subject such as Electro Techniques/Electricians Work/Technica Electrical/Electrical Technology, an additional trade related technical subject such as Technical Drawings/Industrial Electronics, and evidence of English on at least grade 11, all passed, or
  • Complete NCV Level 3 qualification with English, Mathematics (not Mathematics Literacy), Physical or Engineering Science, trade theory subject such as Electro Techniques/Electricians Work/Technica Electrical/Electrical Technology and an additional trade related technical subject such as Technical Drawings/Industrial Electronics all passed.
