Webber Wentzel’s Candidate Attorneys’ Programme

 

As a candidate attorney at Webber Wentzel you will be based in Johannesburg or Cape Town. During the two years you will rotate in various legal practice areas exposing you to a wide range of legal disciplines. In addition to receiving invaluable legal training from top attorneys and respected legal practitioners, you will also participate in our in-house PLT Programme in preparation for the Attorneys’ Admission Examinations.
As a value add to your development we have a formal structured legal mentorship programme that will enable more experienced attorneys to impart their wisdom; share legal knowledge; support, guide and give you feedback during your two-year journey.

How to apply for articles at Webber Wentzel

 

We typically sign our candidate attorneys two years in advance. If you are interested in serving your articles with Webber Wentzel you should apply as early as possible. Click here to apply
Applications will be open during these periods:  1 February to 30 April and 1 July to 30 September

Requirements for consideration:

  • South African citizen or permanent resident
  • Studied/studying at a South African Institution
  • Expect to complete an LLB by the year articles commence
  • Maintain a minimum 65% academic average (academic excellence)

We require the following to accompany your application:

  • academic transcripts of LLB degree up to and including November in the last completed year of study
  • academic transcripts of any undergraduate qualification (and any other relevant qualifications)
  • matric certificate
  • copy of ID
