ABOUT THE BURSAR
Bombela Civils Joint Venture (Bombela CJV), part of the Bombela Concession Company, were one of the Gautrain Project sub-contractors.
The Gautrain project is made up of rail and bus networks, which link Pretoria and Johannesburg to the O.R.Tambo International Airport.
ABOUT THE BURSARY
Bursaries will be awarded to second year students within the following fields:
- Civil Engineering
- Construction Engineering
The bursary will cover the following expenses: registration fees, tuition, examination fees, prescribed textbooks, residential accommodation, meals/ monthly allowance.
On completion of their studies, students will be required to serve Bombela for the equal duration of their bursary awarded. There is also mandatory vacation work for all bursary recipients during the June and December holidays.
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying:
- South African citizen,
- Studying full time in one of the aforementioned fields – 2nd year students,
- Excellent academic results,
- Reside in Gauteng province.
*Preference will be given to students from previously disadvantaged backgrounds.
