Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) Off-campus housing

Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) Off-campus housing

CPUT‘s current residence capacity carries at least 8200 students. With more students intending to study at any Higher Education Institution, the demand for accommodation is constantly growing. Accommodation space is extremely limited and the demand exceeds the supply in this sector and Institutions have to consistently find ways to alleviate the situation for the greater good of university students.

A significant number of students at CPUT however live in private off-campus accommodation, some close to and some a little further away from campus. With the variances in pricing per landlord versus affordability for the student, it became necessary for the University to provide practical alternatives in the best interest of our students.

A database of Landlords accredited by the University provides the students with an alternative platform to make choices that suite their needs and ‘wants’ where applicable within their affordability range.

The accredited Landlord will provide students with accommodation from which the student and landlord will agree on. The university will NOT be involved/part of the operation of this lease nor the payment plans and agreements thereof.
