| Job Purpose | Group Five Coastal in KwaZulu-Natal requires a Foreman General I to ensure day to day running of the site and or section of responsibility while ensuring plant, labour, materials and sub-contractors are utilized efficiently and productively. |
| Qualifications | Trade / Tertiary qualification or Relevant Site experience |
| Experience | Managing Teams (performance and discipline) Minimum of 15 years experience as a Foreman General in the Construction contracting environment Daily, weekly cost control versus allowable MEIP projects experience Multi-disciplinary experience will be an advantage A track record of delivery will be critical Experience in Industrial Civil projects would be an advantage |
| Duties & Responsibilities | Planning and programming of works Labour and plant resource management Implement and maintain agreed methods and procedures Subcontract management Co-ordination and implementation of construction activities Interpret drawings, site instructions and specifications Compute monthly estimates of work completed Effectively monitor safety and environment Delegate effectively Meet strict deadlines Work as part of the team |
| Skills and Knowledge | Construction safety regulations Basic programming A thorough understanding of Civil Structures – Reservoirs, Dams/Weirs, Waste Water, Water Treatment Plants and Bridges. |
| Additional Information | 15 years experience as a Foreman General, preferably on projects with a value in excess of R100 million |
