Available Fields of Study

Hulamin bursary are open for fields of study that relate with company’s business and activities and those are Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Industrial Engineering

The Criterion For Bursary

Hulamin bursary has set several requirements that must be met by all interested applicants and those are:

• Applicants are South African citizen and reside in Pietermaritzburg or its surrounding areas
• Priority will be given to applicants with previously disadvantaged background
• Current Grade 12 students must have a minimum B symbols in Mathematics, Physical Science and English for engineering degree or minimum B symbols in Accountancy and English for Chartered Accountant degree
• Applicants intent to study first degree
• Applicants are accepted by university/instution for the related fields of study mentioned above

Hulamin bursary will covers registration fees, tuituion fees, accommodation and meals fees, books fees and annual cash allowance. Second year bursars able to have notepad and able to work during vacation period. Applicants may be made for a university only.

Applying For Bursary

Hulamin bursary selection results will be notified to the successful ones and will be done by the end of October.

Applicants are required to attach the needed documents , like  latest CV, South African valid ID and proof of Pietermaritzburg residency, full academic records, certified copy of Grade 12 June exams results, copy of relevant agreement or funding (if any) and certified copy of relevant certificates with Hulamin bursary application form that can be retrieved here:
