The Inner Peace Addiction Treatment Centre is a registered non-profit (NPO 092 704) that provides a full continuum of care, including: residential/inpatient programmes (Practice Number: 047 001 0746320), outpatient and aftercare services.

Inner Peace prides itself on integrating all of the recognized and proven techniques available in substance use disorder (SUDs) and addiction recovery today and being uniquely placed as the only qualified provider of Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) in South Africa. Job Title: Auxiliary Social Worker
Location: Fraserburg, Northern Cape

Responsibilities:

Coaching and mentoring
One-on-one sessions with clients assigned to your care, including making biopsychosocial assessments
where necessary, drafting personal development plans and weekly coaching sessions
Keeping and filing sessions notes
Assisting beneficiaries in identifying and implementing personal developmental activities
Facilitation of group sessions for beneficiaries, writing of group session notes

Requirements:

Auxiliary Social Worker qualification
Administrative skills
Fluent in English and Afrikaans
Drivers License
Knowledge of community development
Commitment for vulnerable populations, strong drive for results as well as teamwork, unquestioned integrity and professionalism
Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP) as a Social Auxiliary Worker
At least 1-year experience in working with people with Substance Use Disorder / Addiction
