Iran/South Africa Joint Science and Technology Research Call 2018

On 31 May 2000, the South African Department of Science and Technology (DST) and the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran (MSRT) signed an Agreement with the objective of enhancing scientific relations between South Africa and Iran. With this Agreement, the Parties intend to support research and development activities through the launching of joint calls for human capital development and student/ staff exchanges. The South African National Research Foundation (NRF) and the MSRT, as the implementing Agencies of this Agreement, are pleased to announce the first joint call for research projects in biotechnology, marine and oceanographic studies, renewable energy, human capital development, and sciences and environment.

All South African applications must be submitted through an online application process to the NRF at https://nrfsubmission.nrf.ac.za. A detailed call document is attached.

Call opens: 01 June 2017

Call closes: 31 July 2017
