Job description
- Manage performance of account executives reporting to the BUH and providing feedback on AE performance throughout the year
- Develop and grow account executives, including ensuring regular individual training and in-field coaching.
- Track performance of individual and business unit portfolios
- Meeting their own target, and managing their own portfolio
- Monitoring and reporting the team’s targets
- Drive the team’s strategy to achieve targets and remedy any deficit for that team
- Drive super-analysis of individual clients and client categories to identify opportunities for growth in the business unit
- Drive super-pitches which the sales approach to strategic relationships for the business unit
- Conducting the weekly business unit meeting
- Weekly sales manager/business unit head meeting, in which they identify and escalate issues to the sales manager from their business unit
- Quality assurance of pitches and sales initiatives for their business unit, which includes asking people in the business unit to contribute as an additional resource on a project or pitch (including marking and pairing)
- Accountable to the business unit for issues escalated through them to the manager
Requirements
- Sales skills, negotiation and presentation skills courses
- Drivers licence
- Minimum of six years’ media sales experience
- Computer literacy e.g. Windows 2007, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint
- Ability to think strategically
- Excellent selling skills
- Excellent business written and communication skills.
- Ability to conceptualise, prepare and present radio concepts in writing
- Creativity
