The Diploma is a 3-year programme in the Faculty of Accounting and Informatics. It is designed to provide students with knowledge of Internal Auditing. The internal auditor may be employed in any organization that has an internal audit department.

When the application has been processed, the applicant will be allocated a unique reference number (his/her student number) for identification purposes.
Admission status

• Click on MENU,
• Click on STUDY AT TUT,
• Click on I WANT TO STUDY,
• Click on Check your admission status,
• Enter your id number,
• Click on submit.
A new screen will open with your reference number.
Your status will be displayed and you can view and print a copy of the letter available.
Applicant with a National Diploma
Admission requirement(s): A National diploma with a bachelor’s degree or a diploma endorsement or an equivalent qualification, with an achievement level of at least 4 for English (home language or first additional
language), 3 for Accounting or 3 for Mathematics or Technical Mathematics or 5 for Mathematical Literacy.
Selection criteria: To be considered for this qualification, applicants must have an Admission Point Score (APS) of at least 22 or at least 24 (with Mathematical Literacy).
Life Orientation is excluded for APS calculation.
What can I do after my diploma in Internal Auditing?
Candidates completing the Postgraduate Diploma in Internal Auditing will be able to further pursue the Professional Internal Auditor (PIA) designation offered by the IIA South Africa as well as the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), which is an international designation, offered by the IIA Global.
