We have various Postgraduate Programmes:

Postgraduate Diploma Programmes:

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Internal Auditing
    • The programme is designed to equip candidates with the essential knowledge and specific skills in order to be competent in performing internal audit engagements (manual and computerised) and act as internal audit managers or consultants. The programme is designed to enhance the employability of successful candidates by preparing them for the internal audit profession or for further learning in this field. Graduates will be considered for entrance into the Certified Internal Auditor exams.
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Accountancy
    • The purpose of the Postgraduate Diploma in Accountancy is three-fold:I.        To provide access to the SA Institute of Chartered Accountants-accredited NMMU a

      Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (CTA);

      II.        To prepare graduates to sit the professional stage papers of the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants);

      III.        To provide access to the MCom (Taxation) programme.

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting
    • This is a one year full-time programme that is designed specifically for a candidate wishing to qualify as chartered accountant. The Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting is accredited by the South Afican Institute for Chartered Accountants, allowing graduates to write part 1 of th professional examinations of SAICA.

MTech Programme:

  • MTech: Cost and Management Accounting 
    • This programme will develop top-quality management accountants who have substantial knowledge and analytical competence in all aspects of management accounting.

MCom Programme:

  • MCom: Taxation
    • The aim of this masters degree is to develop in candidates the skills necessary for tax consultancy within the legal and accounting professions and/or senior tax positions in business or with SARS.
