North West University Business School

North West University Business School

At the School of Business & Governance we strive to change the way our students think about business. We want our students to become manager-leaders in their own right.

From the beginning of 2016, the NWU has one united Business School with three sites of delivery, i.e. in Mafikeng, Potchefstroom as well as in the Vaal Triangle. There are academic representation and academic support at all three sites. The sites of delivery also offer options in terms of language and modes of delivery.

The School of Business & Governance is a dynamic institution that will help get the edge in an ever-changing business environment. The School of Business & Governance wants to be a school that is not only internationally accredited, but also internationally regarded for its quality. This is why we are going to focus on internationalisation through collaboration agreements with international business schools. We also want to make our mark on the African continent – it is a priority for us.

We want to deliver students who have the ability to think strategically and become strategic leaders. All our programmes and modules aim to train students who will not only become good managers, but are also able to lead with strategic thinking.

South Africa also needs entrepreneurs, and we promote entrepreneurship in all its forms.

The NWU School of Business & Governance has gained a great deal of experience in the training of public sector managers at the Mafikeng Campus. We aim to promote business sense among senior managers in that sector.
