INTRODUCTION

We have vacancies that exists at Ubunye Mining Services based at Richards Bay (RBM CONTRACT) for a Shift Supervisor. These positions report to the Shift Production Manager, and only internal employees based at the Depot will be given preference to apply.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Requirements

Grade 12 certificate.
Diploma or willingness to study towards one, or any other relevant transportation / logistics qualification.
Minimum of 3 years experience in a transport operations & safety environment.
Experience in Entropy, Windows, MS Office, and particularly MS Excel, intermediate level would be an added advantage.
Preference will be given to Employment Equity candidates.
Must be in possession of a class B driver’s licence. Possession of a class EC drivers licence would be preferable.
Must have own reliable transport.
Must be willing to work shifts,weekends and Public Holidays.
Must be familiar with SHEQ systems

Job Specification

Key Responsibilities

Able to work under pressure.
Must be able to enforce disciplinary standards and have some background in HR /IR resolution.
Knowledge of systems such as Drivecam, Entropy & Tracking.
The ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, management and subordinates.
Self motivated with the ability to work to pre-determined goals.
Daily site inspection and reporting on critical areas i.e DTH,Mine.MSP and outside areas
Generate Monthly HR Reports
Ability to conduct toolbox talk
Accident and incident reporting and investigation
Ensure driver fitness/competencey compliance with site specific training and legislation
Disciplinary management,chairing and initiating disciplinary enquiries
Hourly bin level reporting to the Shift Production Manager/Contract Manager
