University of Cape Town UCT Closing Dates 2018 – 2019

UCT open for application to study in 2018

University of Cape Town (UCT) has started accepting applications for admission for the 2018 academic year on Monday, 3 April 2017. The closing date for application for a place in undergraduate studies is 30 September 2017.

Applications are to be accompanied by the following non-refundable amount:

Undergraduate and postgraduate applications from South Africa and the SADC region: R100

Undergraduate and postgraduate applications from outside the SADC region: R300

GSB applications from South Africa and African citizens/residents: R1250

GSB applications from outside of Africa: US$250

UCT graduates are exempt from paying an application fee, except in the case of GSB qualifications.

While no application will be processed without the application fee, it is important to note that paying an application fee does not mean that an application will be successful.

Undergraduate applications close on 30 September 2017, while postgraduate application closing dates are faculty specific. UCT has six faculties; Commerce, Engineering & the Built Environment, Health Sciences, Humanities, Law, and Science. Last year the university received 26 416 applications for space in undergraduate studies and 11600 applications in postgraduate studies. The university has space for 4200 first year students and 9500 for postgraduate studies.
