Details on how to apply for postgraduate programmes at the Wits School of Law

The closing date for applications to the LLM by Coursework and Research Report is 31 October 2016 for South African students and 30 September 2016 for international students.

You can apply for our LLM by Coursework and Research Report and Postgraduate Diploma in law via Wits University’s online application portal. You can access the portal here.

The following supporting documents will be required with your LLM by Coursework and Research Report application:

  • Academic transcript; or if currently completing final year, an interim transcript
  • Degree certificate/s
  • CV
  • Letter of motivation

International students are required to submit the following additional documents:

  • SAQA
  • IELTS (if language of instruction at tertiary institution was not in English)
