Starke Ayres are a company specialising in the lawn, flower and vegetable industry – in fact, they are the leading supplier of premium seed varieties in Africa and internationally.

Starke Ayres are looking for students who wish to qualify within the industry.

ABOUT THE BURSARY

Bursaries will be awarded to students studying towards one of the following qualifications: BSc/ Bsc (Agric)/ BSc (Hons)/ MSc/ MSc (Agric)/ PhD, in one of the following fields of study:

Genetics: Plant Breeding, Genetics, Plant Biotechnology
Microbiology and Plant Pathology: Plant Protection, Postharvest Technology
Plant Population and Soil Science: Soil Science and Plant Nutrition, Plant Production: Horticulture, Horticultural Science, Horticulture
Plant Science: Plant Physiology

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying:

South African citizen
Studying towards a qualification in one of the aforementioned fields of study
Studying at a recognised tertiary institution in SA
