In 1997 Mario started giving guitar,drums and bass lessons out of his lounge at home. The students increased so rapidly that in Nov 1998 he was forced to resign from his day job.
He then added an extra room onto the house to accommodate all the students. In 2003 Jamrock was born and with 180 students attending lessons at his home it was time to move out.
We found a property in the Brackenfell shopping centre which was large enough to build 8 classrooms to cater for all the students.

Tuition options
Jamrock Music Academy offers two options to new students.
One option is for informal tuition at the students’ pace, allowing the student to develop their love of music and their familiarity with their instrument. The other option is for the student to follow a more formal approach and to take the official Rockschool of London Exams through Jamrock which is internationally accredited.
Fees
- Registration and Administration Fee: R250.00 (once–off enrolment fee)
- Fees: R1980.00 (per term) or term fee can be paid in 3 installments of R660.00 (per month)
