MTU South Africa aims to sustain and develop the expertise of their staff as well as training apprentices for the industry, thereby significantly contributing towards the attainment of National Development and social imperatives. Apprentice Programme
Proving to be exceedingly successful, MTU South Africa’s sought after Apprentice Programme, similar to the German apprentice concept of a dual training system – combining theory and practice, was re-launched in 2007. Annually, trainees are selected for the four-year apprenticeship on the intricacies of engine assembly and servicing, preparing them for their final trade test, prior to becoming qualified artisans.
Experiential Learner Programme
In an ongoing effort of social and economic development through training, MTU South Africa also coordinates an experiential learner programme. Through this programme, university and technikon learners receive practical workplace training in the areas of mechanics, finance and human resources. The aim is to provide learners with practical
