Fish Hoek

Situated in the heart of Fish Hoek (corner of Kommetjie Road and 7th Avenue), this campus offers a wide variety of Business and Information Communication Technology (ICT) courses to suit your passion.

Accommodating more than 70 students with disabilities throughout the college, the Fish Hoek Campus is the flagship campus.  The Campus is well-equipped to facilitate students with disabilities.

As with each of the campuses, the management of False Bay TVET College has ensured a dedicated Student Support Officer to assist students during their transition from basic to higher education. A Financial Aid Administrator is available to assist with Bursary enquiries and applications.

This campus not only offers state of the art educational facilities, but also offers students the opportunity to utilise the various sport fields.  This includes the recently installed astro-turf court, which the ladies netball team enjoy.

The campus has an Open Learning Centre (OLC), with internet access. Students can harness the collective power of technology and ideas to inspire learning. The onsite Cafeteria is also very popular amongst the students, especially on winter days, when lazing on the lawn during intervals is not weather permitting.

Welcome to the new Mitchell’s Plain Campus, located on Merrydale Road, Mitchell’s Plain. A stone throw away from a bus and taxi route, the campus is easily accessible.

Ideally located between Mitchell’s Plain and Khayelitsha in Mew Way, this campus is easily accessed and offers a wide variety of programmes.

The access-controlled campus has been refurbished and features a modern electrical and motors workshop, along with excellent teaching and quality sporting facilities. The Khayelitsha campus has been serving the community of Mitchell’s Plain and Khayelitsha for more than 10 years by equipping students with the necessary skills for employment.

Muizenberg Campus

Muizenberg Campus is the Hospitality training hub for False Bay TVET College and also offers Tourism and 2D Animation.  There is a well-equipped student cafeteria that is staffed by students that serves delicious meals each day.  The campus also has a beautiful training restaurant overlooking Muizenberg Beach.  Muizenberg campus features an outstanding OLC where students can access the internet to do research.

The heart of FBC’s engineering arm, Westlake Campus is situated in close proximity to the Ou Kaapse Weg, and offers industry specific courses. The spacious campus features numerous sports facilities and well-kept grounds, coupled with modern training facilities.

Distance Learning

False Bay TVET College introduced Distance Learning in 2014.This mode of study is suitable for students within the Western Cape who are unable to attend classes on a regular basis, who are able to study independently and/or who are working full-time.
The benefits of this mode of study include online and in-person lecturer support, tutorial classes, experts to guide the student through the relevant subject matter and the option to make enquiries telephonically or via the online platform.

The Distance Learning Campus is located on the False Bay TVET College Westlake Campus.  This Campus is expanding quickly with increased programme offerings to address the demand for access to higher education. The Distance Learning Campus is dedicated to provide, quality, relevant and accredited training options. The Campus aims to make the Distance Learning experience worthwhile, effective and manageable by ensuring that students receive continual support and feedback throughout their study period.

Swartklip Campus

The Swartklip Campus is the College’s next catalytic project, set to trigger positive transformation in the surrounding communities of Mitchell’s Plain and Khayelitsha in Cape Town. Located at the former Denel munitions testing grounds, the site offers acres of land and solid building structures which will be refurbished into state-of-the-art workshops and classroom spaces.

The Swartklip Campus will open its doors in 2019 for its first student intake into the Rigging Programme. Offering programmes in the priority artisan trades, the campus will accommodate an estimated 3 000 students a year once fully operational, making a major contribution to the National Development Plan’s goal of producing 30 000 skilled artisans per year.
