An introduction to video editing and the practical application of knowledge with Adobe Premiere Pro CC
Premiere Pro is a compact and powerful editing software that will enable the user to create stunning and professional looking videos whether for online or offline purposes. It is a flexible piece of software that will also enable the user to perform minor VFX green screen (chromakey) replacements, masking, tracking, time-warps and much more.
In this course the student will be exposed to the basic principles of video editing, basic principles of workflow using Premiere Pro, editing theory and of course the practical application of knowledge through a series of intense and rigorous class assignments.
Course Requirements
Students should have working knowledge and understanding of the following:
- Basic Computer Skills for PC/Mac.
Course objectives
- Learn how to import and export footage/media
- Performing a three point edit
- Understanding workflow and the post production process
- Introduction into the basic principles of video editing and montage theory
- Media managing of offline and online footage
- Working with different codecs, aspect ratios and understanding the importance of the 180 rule
- Learning the basics of colour correction and minor audio automation
