What is DsTv Smart Card?
A smartcard is a unique chipped card that exists in your DStv decoder. This card is linked to your decoder and your customer number that was created with MultiChoice when you initiated your DStv subscription. Your smartcard number is on the reverse of your smartcard, underneath the barcode.
How do I get a DStv smart card?
Did you know that you can get your DStv smartcard number by simply pressing the OK button on your DStv remote, then selecting the Information Central Option using the OK Button. Your Smart Card number is the 10 digit number on the far right on the Smartcard row.
Can I get a new DStv card?
Whenever there is a fault with your Dstv Smartcard, you should walk into any nearest Multichoice offices for your Smartcard to be replaced. Remember, you must go there with your Dstv decoder so it can be paired with a new Smart card
Can DStv work without a smart card?
Without the smart card, you can not watch any channel. It is a DStv decoder identity number at the customer care center. It is used for subscribing to any packages you wish.
