Learn how to arrange flowers – and use your creative ability There is always a demand for information and instruction in the art and technique of flower arranging. Flowers are used for adornment in many homes and are an essential part of the celebration of life. They herald the birth of babies, are used to enhance venues for weddings, birthdays and anniversaries, and they bring comfort.

Programme Type

The INTEC Flower Arranging Professional Certificate is part of the INTEC Job Creator Series. The INTEC Flower Arranging Professional Certificate is an INTEC Certificate. This programme is approved by the INTEC Academic Board.*

Entrance Requirement

Grade 10 (Std. 8) or equivalent, or revelant work experience.

Course Duration

It should take you approximately 6-12 months to complete the course.

Course Content

• The basic essentials and tools for flower arranging • Learn to cut and prepare flowers • Containers that may be used • Step-by-step arrangement of flowers • The use of colour in both dried and fresh flowers • How to use flowers to create atmosphere or add to the interior design of a room • Flowers for special occasions, such as weddings, parties, church events and private entertaining • Table decoration • Prolonging the life of flowers

Award

All the required assignments must be completed and sent to the College for marking. All assignments must be successfully passed in order to obtain the award
