The technologically based environment of Web design is introduced to candidates wanting entry to this field or students hoping to advance their existing skill set. The course is designed to give you the knowledge and skills to build creative, interactive, user friendly  Web sites. The  course structure attempts to balance technical with artistic skills to create a conceptually interesting and easy vavigable site. Learning formats consist of video tutorials and written notesThis course is designed to instruct students in Web site construction and design. Students will learn HTML coding and then be introduced to popular Web design and graphics programs including Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and Flash, as well as the multimedia programs Quicktime and iMovie. Level 1 subjects include the Web environment; Creating Web Pages; Web Design Principles & Scripting Behavior. The Web Environment covers the mechanics of web and the nature or characterstics of web design. Creating Web Pages introduces HTML, CSS and intergrating HTML & CSS. Web Design Principles explore the elements of style, drafting designs and implementing designs. Scripting Behavior introduces JavaScript and jQuery as well as implementing behavior. The curriculum then advances to CSS2; CSS3 and HTML5.
