2019 JETStreaming Honours/Masters Graduates Capacity Development Programme

JETStreaming is a capacity building programme in education research involving a combination of experiential workplace immersion, and formal/collaborative training processes that seeks to build self-driven, continually learning, social justice change agents in education research in South Africa. JET Education Services is seeking to recruit Honours/Masters graduates to support the vision of delivering innovative research solutions in the education space/sector.

Job Title: JetStreamer
Job Location: Johannesburg Office, with the option of being placed at other NGOs working in education.

The Contract offered will be fixed term for 18 months.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO BECOME A JET STREAMER

  • Honours/Masters Degree in the following fields: Research, Monitoring & Evaluation, Communications, Politics, Public Administration, Information Technology, Science and Engineering and Education and/or equivalent (a combination is advantageous) – minimum qualification is NQF Level 8;
  • No work experience necessary;
  • Must have knowledge of the following; Microsoft Office, Internet and email computer skills;
  • Technological thinking and tech savvy would be an advantage but not mandatory;
  • The ability to work as a team player and individually;
  • Good interpersonal skills;
  • Good communication skills both verbal and in writing

THE CORE OUTCOMES:

  • Understanding the education landscape in South Africa;
  • Development of the ability to contextualise environments in order to develop thorough research applicable solutions;
  • Development and application of best practice research skills;
  • Development and application of data and knowledge management skills;
  • Practice application of monitoring and evaluation principles and methods and how they relate to education practices;
  • Knowledge of the use of graphic presentation, including computerised graphics.

Stipend R160 000.00 per annum CTC (cost to company)
