Workers’ World Media Productions seeks to appoint an intern to be based in Cape Town for an 11-month internship to a suitably qualified candidate.

The purpose of this position is to offer an opportunity for dynamic, committed and innovative graduate. The candidate will be trained and work as a content producer based in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, for the three WWMP mass media platforms (Radio, TV, Print and Social Media).

Workers’ World Media Productions, a labour media NGO based in Cape Town with offices in Johannesburg and East London, in partnership with The Raith Foundation.

Requirements:

  • University Journalism qualification at Bachelor’s level
  • Politics or Sociology/Anthropology as one of the majors
  • Involvement in student and/or community organisation
  • Passion for community media and politics
  • Driver’s license


Location: Cape Town
The internship includes a generous stipend of R12000 per month and training, along with mentoring on multi-media skills, radio and TV productions as well as online writing and editing.
