Science is Fun Holiday Programme 2017

Sci-Enza will once again host the very popular ‘Science is Fun’ holiday programme for primary school learners (Grade 1 to 6) from 4 to 7 July 2017. In addition, there will be a new programme for Grades 7 to 9 on 11 and 12 July.

 

Venue: Sci-Enza, Hatfield Campus, University of Pretoria

Date: Tuesday, 4 July 2017 to Wednesday, 12 July 2017

Time: 09:00 to 13:00

Theme 1: Sneak peek into your body

Don’t you ever wonder why your body works the way it does? Come find the answers in our holiday programme.

Date: 4 July (Tuesday) OR 6 July (Thursday)*

 

Theme 2: Star Wars

Discover the amazing science behind the movie Star Wars through a startling science show, games and fun activities on forces. Join us for a fun-filled day and … may the force be with you.

Date: 5 July (Wednesday) OR 7 July (Friday)*

 

*One day programme repeated over two days.

Theme 3: Hello, Programmer!

Coding is an amazing tool for impacting the world around you. This programme is all about learning how to code, playing around with robotics and creating your own mini-movies.

Date: 11−12 July

Additional Info: The cost is R70 per child per theme.

NO SNACKS INCLUDED: Children should please bring their own lunchbox.

Ticket sales open on Monday, 26 June 2017. Due to the popularity of our programme a maximum of 4 tickets per person will be allowed. Cash only (no EFT or card facilities available).

Important: No telephonic bookings will be accepted.

Number of tickets is limited to 60 children per day.

 

Please note that the programme is presented in English with Afrikaans facilitators on site.
