Technical Operations Manager: Networks
An exciting opportunity exist for a suitably qualified and skilled individual to join the Infrastructure Department in IT Division at OR Tambo International Airport.
Key Performance Outputs
The successful candidate, reporting to the Senior Manager IT Infrastructure will be responsible for the following:

Recommend and provide corporate direction on technical and business strategic plans related to Network Operations and ensure alignment to the IT Strategic roadmap;

Responsible for strategy, design and general health (stability and availability) of relevant network services;

Enables general health of services including implementation and adherence to security, infrastructure and application standards for the service, service availability, reliability, performance and continuous service improvement;

Responsible for defining and enforcing the ICT Network standards to be applied across the whole of ACSA;

Monitor and ensure adherence to statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures;

Work with other team managers to develop mutual understanding of each area and develop methods of cooperation and support to achieve our stated corporate objectives;

Build, support and maintain healthy, diverse internal and external relationships (government, authorities and agencies) t ensure achievement of organisational goals and implement remedial actions where required;

Complete IT Risk and Issues Logs ensuring they are up to date and information is accurate;
-
Provide technical/professional support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of functional and organisational objectives.
Technical Skills and Experience
The following skills and experience or the equivalent thereof will be required:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Information technology/Computer Science
-
5 years operational experience in all phases of network infrastructure
-
2 years operational experience in network projects
-
Code B Motor vehicle license
Competencies
The successful incumbent must consistently achieve results and meet goals and targets, have good verbal communication skills and exercise good judgement when making decisions. It is essential that the candidate is detail-oriented, takes new ideas from conception to fruition and actively build and manage social networks both internal and outside the organisation. It is vital that the incumbent actively build and manages social networks while being able to solve problems.
