6 Easy Steps in Applying to Stellenbosch University

STEP 1 – Before you apply;

  1. READ UP on all the programmes we offer at Stellenbosch University.
  2. MAKE SURE that you understand the admission and selection requirement
    for the different faculties.
  3. CHECK the closing dates – get your applications in on time.

30 JUNE
Applications close for all undergraduate programmes and residences

STEP 2 – Choose your programme.

You get to select up to THREE programmes.
Because of space availability and selection requirements, you might not get into your first
choice. Luckily you can then still be considered for you second or third choice

STEP 3 – Start Your Application :

You can apply quickly and easily using our e-application
• Start your online application.
• Get your username (student number)
and 8-digit password.
• Complete the online form.
• Submit the application form when
you’re done

Paper application forms are available on campus for those who don’t have internet access.

STEP 4 – Upload Your Documents

What will be needed include;

Your signed contract,
Proof of payment of the R100 application fee,
Your most recent FINAL YEAR school results, and
Faculty specific non-academic forms, if applicable

You will receive an OFFICIAL SUN-PASSWORD after you submit your application.
This can be used to access your application status to upload all your supporting application documents.

You have to submit all your documents before the closing date

STEP 5 – Write the NBT

Make sure you understand your faculties’
specifications for the NBTs

STEP 6 – Track Your Application

You can monitor your application status online using
your username (student number) and SUN-password.
