CSIR is offering 50 internships to unemployed people

The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in partnership with MICT SETA is offering 50 internships to unemployed graduates and postgraduates.

The CSIR internship programme provides opportunities to graduates to gain practical experience which augments their theoretical studies under the guidance of more experienced professionals.

The programme is spread across various fields, with a strong focus in science, engineering and technology (SET) as well as support based fields in human resources and monitoring & evaluation.

The CSIR is a leading scientific and technology research organisation, implementing projects throughout Africa and making a difference in people’s lives.

Requirements:

Applicants should have completed the following qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in the following fields of engineering:

• Electrical
• Electronic
• Computer
• Mechatronic
• Mechanical
• Chemical

• Civil

A bachelor’s degree in the following fields:

• Architecture
• Chemistry
• Information Technology
• Computer Science
• Social Science – political science, international relations, anthropology, development studies or scientometrics
• Industrial and Organisational Psychology

• Human Resources

An honours degree in the following fields:

• Chemistry
• Biochemistry
• Molecular & Cell Biology
• Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology
• Microbiology/ Biochemistry
• Molecular Biology/ Virology
• Information Systems or Technology
• Computer Science
• Monitoring and Evaluation
• Social Science – political science, international relations, anthropology, development studies or scientometrics A bachelor of technology in the following fields: • Biochemistry • Biomedical Technology/ Biotechnology
