The department offers this bursary opportunity to previously disadvantaged South Africans with the aim of enhancing youth development as well as developing a culture of lifelong learning within the department. Applicants will need to have either successfully completed their first year at a tertiary institution or be registered for postgraduate studies.

How to apply

Applicants will need to complete the application form in full and attach supporting documents. This includes a letter of motivation as to why the bursary should be awarded in their favour, a copy of their CV as well as a certified copy of recent academic records and identity document. Applicants should also attach proof of registration as well as proof of their parents’ income.
