GIBS : Innovation and design thinking masterclass 2017

This INTRODUCTORY masterclass looks at different aspects of problem solving and radical thinking and can be seen as a new approach to deal with innovation and growth. Though designing, as a craft requires years of dedicated education and talent, this masterclass does not require a prior experience in design and is open to anyone with a desire to learn new techniques of innovation.

Masteclass Facilitator – Rory Moore, GIBS Faculty

Rory is a director and  innovation lead for Accenture. He is an innovation pioneer who has always been fascinated with reinvention and has extensive corporate and entrepreneurial experience in driving the innovation agenda.

He has a patent for inventing and commercialising an innovation platform that is unique in its ability to combine business, technology and innovation through a collaborative and social interface and he  has successfully implemented many innovation initiatives with a strong focus on collaboration and harnessing the power of the crowd, which is a more appropriate approach to innovation in today’s modern world. Rory seeks to activate the untapped wealth of knowledge that resides within an organisation’s idea-sharing and problem-solving network.

Rory has a BCom from the University of KwaZulu Natal and an MBA from the Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town.
