This is a very important role in a financial institute and revolves around the products in their suite, specific to banking or the financial services industry. Product owners possess industry knowledge as well as accounting and software knowledge.

Product owners need to understand existing products, engage with business(sometimes customers), perform market research and suggest additions or enhancements to existing products. This is only where existing configuration options does not exist to meet business needs. One of the goals is to improve existing products in our product suites while taking into consideration a number of factors.

Documenting product features, training and performing demonstrations around the products also forms part of the role. This includes keeping product documentation up-to-date as well as writing training material around the products in the suite. This role supports the group and TYME by assisting the business in its product development and associated configuration options in the application suite.

Skills and experience:

Requirements:

• A formal IT/IS tertiary qualification such as a national diploma or a degree
• A formal architectural certification such as TOGAF, Zachman, DoDAF, MODAF,FEAF or related certification (minimum requirement)
• Five to 10 years’ experience in enterprise architectural and/or financial services architecture
