Job description

We are a small IT company based in Edenvale, Johannesburg. Our digital marketing services and solutions division are focused on providing websites, social media management, Google AdWords and SEO solutions to our clients, and is currently looking for a young, enthusiastic, hardworking individual who is keen to build on their experience as an online campaign specialist.

Responsibilities include:

Social media:

  • Creating social media strategies for our clients who are in varying industries, from retail to business.
  • Applying this strategy to create posts (includes post and sourcing the image) for the various social media platforms per client – planned a month in advance.
  • Daily social media management – responding to enquiries, engaging with followers, etc.
  • Ad campaign execution and management.
  • Monthly reporting on the performance/effectiveness of the accounts, either in person or via telephone/email.
  • Identifying areas for improvement.
  • Align strategies and campaign execution to client goals and objectives.
  • Be the client’s point of contact for all enquiries and guidance.

AdWords:

  • Creating strategic campaigns in line with our clients’ industries and budgets.
  • Managing AdWords campaigns to ensure greatest ROI for clients.
  • Keyword planning and management.
  • Monthly campaign performance/effectiveness reporting, either in person or via email/telephone.
  • Identifying areas for improvement.
  • Align strategies and campaign execution to client goals and objectives.
  • Be the client’s point of contact for all enquiries and guidance.

 

Requirements

  • Two years experience in a similar role.
  • Relevant, demonstrable experience in creating and maintaining social media accounts and AdWords campaigns.
  • Experience with digital media including display advertising, search engine marketing, social media and web development.
  • Knowledge of use of social media platforms for business (mainly Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google keyword planner and Google AdWords reporting.
  • Able to work in a highly pressurised environment where deadlines often change (must be adaptable).
  • Effective problem-solver.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Passion for digital marketing and producing good results.
