Our client, a groundbreaking and multi-award winning airline support service company, with offices spread across three continents, is looking to grow its team with a German speaking aviation loading agent to plan the proper distribution of load into aircraft holds.
This exciting opportunity will suit someone who wants to be part of a 250 team of professionals from 27 countries, who ensure the safety of millions of passengers on 50,000 to 60,000 flights monthly. This person will be responsible for issuing the final loading instructions and calculating the weight and balance including proper fuel ratio, passenger figures and actual loading of a particular aircraft within the limits.
Key performance areas:
- Ensure the correct input of data on the relevant IT systems in order to ensure the correct loading of aircrafts
- Monitoring of loading system
- Manual input of data when information is missing from different interfaces
- Clarification of loading related questions with the support of the IT systems
- Attend meeting where and when required
- Attend training and courses where and when required
Qualifications and experiences:
- Excellent English communication skills
- Good German skill understands the language fluently, at a functional level (basic conversational knowledge)
- Minimum Matric with excellent Math Skills, additional tertiary education is advantageous
- Good computer knowledge and understanding from a functional and work related level, including keyboard & mouse skills
- Proven systems Thinking ability – to identify and relate apparently unrelated issues and factors, seeing the whole and not only the parts
- Two to three years’ previous work experience in similar environment advantageous

- Decision making: the ability to take calculated risks in comparing different options and making the best decision
- Logical thinking: the ability to break a problem down into logical steps or processes
- Multitasking: the ability to perform various tasks simultaneously, analysing different computer windows at once and enter appropriate data or make adjustments based on analysis
- Problem-solving: the ability to identify underlying problems and to advise on alternative solutions
- Timekeeping: the ability to function within determined time guidelines
