Job description

  • The implementation of system to onboard products and experience community
  • Direct sales to brands as well as PR agencies
  • Partnership packages, event partnerships, content marketing partnerships
  • Banner campaigns and full site sponsorships

The successful candidate will, therefore, be required to successfully

  • Set a strategy for the sales team together with the MD
  • Create a high performance, results focused sales culture
  • Work structured on different levels of revenue;
  • Small, medium and large partnerships & strategic sponsorships.
  • Work towards a funnel building, get them in for a sale, move them up, and up.
  • Be a solutions thinker and a ‘getting things done’ instead of ‘doing things’
  • Have experience in putting together excellent and clear presentations and proposals
  • Develop excellent sales material in line with emotive core of the company
  • Build a sales team of two new sales people, one junior and one senior.
  • Enable the sales team to come out of their shadow and realise the love of making the deal
  • Grow the quality of the sales teams in weekly meetings delivery on their target
  • Drive the new sales into the workflows with brief and monitors quality of delivery

In the last five years, CapeTownMagazine.com has increased revenue on average with 20-35% per year. Growing its channels to a tremendous reach, equally special is the partner retention rate of appx 80-90% as well as the majority growing their spend with CapeTownMagazine.com.

Future focus:
We are currently focusing on making a big push forward towards partnership sales as well as sponsorships with brands and events to a value of R500,000 to R3,000,000 per year. At the same time funnels will be built to enable every small to large business to get into the funnel (=written about) and develop them from there.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years’ experience in b2b sales to tourism, travel and hospitality industry
  • excellent track record and references
  • experience with online sales funnel / crm tools such as insightly
  • proven affinity for online media as well as the tourism, travel and hospitality industry
  • experience in building and managing funnels for sales campaigns using online tools
  • built clever and happy sales teams
  • a passion to anchor best practice within the organisation
  • successfully developed – and delivered on – detailed year sales planning
  • is highly experienced in online media, social media and an avid educator of prospects in this
  • see online sales and crm tools to drive sales as a starting point
