Regulatory and Quality Assurance Officer

An exciting opportunity exists at Corporate Office for an experienced professional within the Regulatory and Quality Assurance department.

 
Key Performance Outputs
The successful candidate, reporting to the Group Manager Regulatory and Quality Assurance will be responsible for the following:
 
  • Support the development of relevant organisational policies, procedures and working instructions;
  • Develop and implement Quality Management Solutions (ISO 140001) as per agreed implementation plan;
  • Manage the Company’s risk exposure through identifying, implementing and maintenance of risk control measures to minimize the Company’s liability;
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures and other regulatory bodies;
  • Collate integrated scorecards and reports for the function;
  • Monitor annual compliance audits in line with the legislative requirements in accordance with ICAO, SACAA and other regulatory bodies;
  • Manage the aviation statistical reporting, reconciliation and analysis process in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements;
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Conduct research on best practices and identify improvement initiatives
  • Provide specialized technical / professional support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of functional and organisational objectives;
  • Build, support and maintain healthy, diverse internal and external relationships to ensure achievement of organizational goals.
Technical Skills and Experience
The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such, will be required:
  • Diploma in Regulation/ Risk Management is essential;
  • A minimum of 3 years’ Operational experience within the area of Regulation and/or Operational Quality is essential;
  • Outstanding presentation skills;
  • Knowledge in airport operations is required;
  • In Depth knowledge of relevant legislation and Quality Management systems.
 
Competencies
The successful incumbent must possess outstanding communication skills (written and verbal), as well as the ability to remain calm under pressure. The ability to resolve conflict in a diplomatic manner, taking into consideration the ethics of the organisation, whilst using a combination of intuition and analytical thinking is essential. Lastly it is critical that this individual provide clear objectives and instruction to others to set definite milestones to ensure the achievement of goals.
