SAMRC Postdoctoral research fellowship Job May 2017

A research collaboration between South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC) and the Karolinska Institutet (Sweden) has made available one Postdoctoral research fellowship.

The postdoctoral research project will form part of a multi-disciplinary SAMRC-Forte (Swedish Research Council for Health, Working Life and Welfare) funded study on Health systems strengthening for South African traditional medicine. The Postdoctoral project will be designed to answer important and implicit questions on policy, practitioners and products of South African traditional medicine.

VALUE AND PERIOD OF THE AWARD

  • The value of the award is R180 000.
  • The Award is for one year only

ELIGIBILITY

  • South African citizens, including permanent residents.
  • A successfully completed PhD Degree in social sciences or health qualification with proven qualitative research experience.

ADVANTAGE

  • A keen interest in Health Systems and Policy.
