Job description

Our client is a consultancy environment that offer management consulting, learning services and digital solutions to their clients. They have an opportunity available for a Senior Instructional Designer to be based at the client site.

The instructional designer will provide vision, leadership and coordination in designing, developing, and delivering fully online and blended courses and technology-enhanced instructional materials.

Requirements

Technical knowledge (essential qualifications):

  • BA degree or relevant diploma in English, instructional design, instructional technology, curriculum design or other related discipline required.
  • A minimum of five years of professional experience in designing, developing and managing online, blended or other technology-mediated instruction.
  • Proficient in instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, Four D Model).
  • Skilled in using MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • A knowledge of other rapid development tools is an advantage.

  • Use appropriate design and development processes.
  • Strong planning, organising and problem-solving ability.
  • Design instructional and non-instructional products.
  • Work collaboratively with the team.

  • Ability to analyse and objectively give feedback to and receive from team and seniors.
  • Use research and theories in the instructional design process.
  • Plan and manage projects.
  • Facilitation skills.
  • Perform needs assessments and recommend appropriate solutions or strategies.
  • Design learning assessments.
  • Evaluate instructional and non-instructional products.
  • Knowledge of existing and emerging technologies and their potential use.
  • Use business skills to manage projects.
