The purpose of this role is to sample, prepare and perform physical, chemical and bacteriological analyses.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Serious contenders will have a Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science;
- Experience in an analytical coal laboratory or analytical water laboratory is advantageous;
- Computer literacy in MS Office is essential.
- Valid Driver’s License is essential;
- Basic Coal Preparation Certificate will be an added advantage.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Sampling and sample collection according to procedures;
- Receive and register samples according to procedures;
- Handle, prepare and analyse samples according to procedures;
- Calibrate and check equipment according to procedure;
- Identify record and report quality problems;
- Maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
