South 32 2017 Job Vacancy Engineer Production Information System

The purpose of this role is to do the administration of production applications deployed on the production areas ensuring security, availability and responsiveness. Comprehensive and effective support to the production applications users in order to sustain operational safety, productivity, efficiency and quality. Liaison with the production team leaders, specialists and third party consultants, contractors for the continuous improvement of the production processes. Provide the required support to capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for systems and software in conjunction with end-users and specific department needs. Ensure the availability, integrity and security of enterprise data, in accordance to business needs and industry best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance. Perform changes, tests and deployment of systems by following the company’s Change Management and the ITIL v3 processes.

Serious contenders will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, 3 to 4 years’ experience in systems analysis, design, development, implementation, integration and support, strong technical background in relational databases (Oracle, MSSQL), Oracle Applications Development Tools (Forms & Reports), programming languages (Oracle PL/SQL, C/C++, .Net, XML Web Services using Microsoft ASP .NET, SQL), multi-OS knowledge (MS Windows Server/Red Hat Enterprise Linux), Enterprise Technologies such as Mobile Device Technology, VMware, Web Services (IIS).
